Christy and Michael met while studying at the University of Limerick School of Medicine. Christy had moved from Toronto, Canada, and Michael was from the area. For the first three years, they were friendly acquaintances, crossing paths often, exchanging smiles, and quietly admiring each other from a distance.

Then, in a chance encounter at a bar called The White House just two months before medical school ended, everything changed. What started as a simple conversation turned into something much more. Time flew, sparks flew, and they’ve been together ever since.

After graduating, they navigated the ups and downs of long distance, supporting each other across countries and time zones until they could finally build a life in the same place.

On September 17, 2024, Michael proposed to Christy on Toronto Island, with the city skyline as the backdrop, making for a very beautiful memory in Christy’s hometown.

Now, they’re building a life together in Salt Lake City, Utah, soaking up mountain views and sunshine, and excited for all that’s to come.
